🐸 Behind the Frog Effect: The Collapse of Idealized Divinity

Hello, this is Sena Kaoru.
Recently, while talking with my daughter, we ended up discussing the so-called Frog Effect—a reaction often described in Japanese as kaeruka genshō (蛙化現象) or the frogification phenomenon: that strange moment when someone suddenly loses interest right after mutual attraction appears.
As we talked, something clicked:
—What if the Frog Effect is not just psychology, but a remnant of an old civilization?
From there, I began to see a single thread connecting worship, hierarchy, societal change, and future civilization.
Today, I’d like to share that insight with you.

🐸 1|The Frog Effect Is the Collapse of Idealization

—The rejection that happens when the “god-image” breaks

In the classic frogification phenomenon, the moment the other person shows sincere affection, the idealized image collapses.
  • Perfect.
  • Untouchable.
  • Pure.
A version of the other person elevated almost to divinity.
But when that “god” suddenly acts as a real human being, the illusion shatters—and the mind recoils.
This reaction is actually a trace of an older civilization’s operating system:
a worldview that places authority “above.”

🏛 2|A Civilization Built on Worship and Control

—Why humans seek external authority

For millennia, humanity lived within vertical hierarchies:
  • kings
  • priests
  • nations
  • religions
  • charismatic figures
  • ultimate authorities
People gained a sense of safety by placing someone “above.”
This structure still lingers in the unconscious.
What we call kaeruka genshō today is simply that structure surfacing in personal relationships.
It’s not merely a psychological glitch— it is the echo of a civilization built on hierarchy.

🌬 3|When Our Ability to “Feel” Was Suppressed

—A society that preferred external correctness over inner sensing

Old civilizations consistently suppressed feeling.
  • Because feeling cannot be managed.
  • Because intuition does not obey hierarchy.
  • Because inner truth cannot be controlled by authority.
And so people were slowly separated from:
  • their ability to sense
  • their inner voice
  • their intuition (the root of spiritual is “breath”—a reminder that it’s natural)
This disconnect pushed people toward seeking external “strong figures,” which is why the frogification phenomenon feels so universal.

🌅 4|As the Era Shifts, Worship Naturally Fades

—Why external authority is losing its power

Today, a shift is happening—quietly yet unmistakably.
  • Survival pressures are easing
  • Technology supports daily life
  • AI dissolves many material fears
As these tensions release, consciousness turns inward.
Away from external authorities, toward the truth within.
This isn’t a trend.
It is a rewriting of the entire civilizational OS.
  • external god → inner divinity
  • dependence → self-alignment
  • obedience → resonance
  • conformity → harmony
The world is changing at its roots.

🔮 5|The End of Worship Is the Beginning of a New Civilization

—A worldview resonant with Japan’s mythology

The fading of worship is not chaos.
It is the return of freedom—and creativity.
Human beings naturally possess the ability to feel.
It is not mystical; it is as ordinary as breathing.
When this power reawakens, we leave behind the age of “outsourcing our divinity.”
What emerges next is a civilization where:
each person lives from their inner light.
  • No worship.
  • No dominance.
  • No vertical hierarchy.
Just diverse beings resonating in harmony— much like the Yaoyorozu no Kami in Japanese mythology,
where countless presences coexist without superiority.

🌈 6|The Frog Effect as a Sign of Our Time

—What the collapse of idealization reveals

The Frog Effect—or kaeruka genshō—is actually a sign:
  • the god-image collapses
  • equal connections feel unfamiliar
  • the upper-lower structure malfunctions
This is not dysfunction.
It is evolution.
Humanity is moving toward horizontal, resonant connection.
The inner tectonic shift is already underway—and it will quietly reshape the world.
Thank you for reading to the end😉
